Desatan polémica guacamayas en fiesta de Sofía Vergara

CIUDAD DE MÉXICO.- Sofía Vergara ofreció una fiesta tropical en su mansión de Los Ángeles, California, donde la actriz, amigos y familiares, celebraron el Memorial Day y le dieron la bienvenida al verano, explica People.

En las fotos compartidas por Vergara, así como por su hijo Manolo y su sobrina Claudia Vergara, ponen en evidencia que en la fiesta también estuvieron presentes tres guacamayas, las cuales aparecen sobre el cuerpo de los invitados y sobre la cabeza de la actriz.

Seguidores de Sofía se mostraron "decepcionados" de este hecho, al considerar que las aves fueron tratadas como juguetes, y solicitaron que instituciones encargadas del cuidado animal, como PETA, tomaran cartas en el asunto.

Ante la ola de críticas, Vergara, publicó en Instagram una explicación de lo ocurrido, y escribió que las aves están a cargo de una empresa-refugio con permiso que se encarga de cuidarlas luego de que son rescatadas del maltrato, por lo que están bajo supervisión veterinaria de primer nivel.

They also use affection training, as opposed to treat training (these birds want to be held by humans).This is a refuge company and all of these birds are there as a last resort. They live a long time and often outlive their owners and that's how they end up there.This company also does this as a way to raise awareness for the extinction of the birds. The extinction is happening due to deforestation of the Amazon forest to raise cattle. By placing these birds in public view, they remind people that they exist and we should look out for them.gracias to all of u!!!??????
